Competition 2006-2007

Of course playing on a regular playing evening is very nice. But what if you'd like a trial of strength against players from other clubs? Then you're the right person to participate competition or tournaments! At Panache there's the possibility to participate regional competition, recreational competition and tournaments.

Recreational competition

The current recreational teams and results are located on a separate page.

The recreational competition is split up in `Spring competition' and `Autumn competition'. The matches for the Autumn competition take place from October until February, and the matches for the spring competition take place from March until June. For both the Autumn and Spring competition you will play six to eight matches, which will all be played throughout the week (that is, from Monday until Friday). The opponent club is normally within reach with public transportation, and otherwise you can always hire a van from the Students Sports Center. The competition is divided in three parts, from beginner to veteran player. The most important thing about recreational competition is the fun you have!

A team consists of minimally four players, this holds for either a ladies- men- or mixteam. You can participate in the Spring, Autumn or you can play all year. To be able to participate recreational competition, you'll need to be registered as being a `recreant' with Panache. Being registered as a recreant is more expensive than being registered as a donator (see `membership'), but it's more than worth it!

Regional Competition

The current regional teams and results are located on a separate page.

This year two teams from Panache play in the weekend competition of the Dutch Badminton Association. Are you interested in playing regional competition or do you know someone that is interested, we are always looking for new players to expand the teams or to form a new team!

Tournaments

People from Panache regularly join (inter-)national badminton tournaments. Apart from our Panache Tournament, Panache can also been seen often at: the ISBT Tilburg, the ISBT Maastricht and the TTST in Rotterdam. To encourage our members to play tournaments, the RAT-fund was founded (RAT stands for "Regeling Aanmoediging Toernooideelname" which means something like `tournament participation arrangement'). Because of the RAT-fund, it is often possible to get back a part of the participation charge.
